What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants use the tools of other apps. Anthropic introduced it in 2024; Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and many other assistants support it today.

Is it safe to connect an AI assistant to your Chatfuel account?
- Sign in with ChatfuelYou approve access on Chatfuel's own page. The assistant never sees your password.
- Read-only if you wantTurn on Read-only when you connect: the assistant can look, but can't change anything.
- It asks before changesChatfuel tells the assistant to ask before it changes settings or sends a message. Deleting bots, billing and broadcasts stay in the dashboard.
- Revoke anytimeDisconnect any assistant in Connected apps in Chatfuel. Its access to your data stops right away.

Yes. Chatfuel hosts one at https://mcp.chatfuel.com/panel. It connects your WhatsApp Business number, along with Instagram, Facebook Messenger, TikTok and website chat, to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients. WhatsApp itself connects to Chatfuel through the official WhatsApp Business API.
Yes, the same server. Once your Facebook Page and Instagram account are connected to Chatfuel, the assistant can read those chats, reply in them and set up AI replies to comments.
Yes. It can set up and tune your AI Agent: turn it on per channel, fill the knowledge base, change when and how it replies, set up comment replies and bookings, review recent chats and find out why the bot isn't replying.
It can't delete bots or workspaces, change billing, manage your team, send broadcasts, disconnect channels or turn the AI off for every channel at once. Those stay in the Chatfuel dashboard. Flows aren't available through MCP either.
No. Chatfuel hosts the server, so there's nothing to install or run. Add the address to your assistant's connector settings and sign in with your Chatfuel account.
Any Chatfuel account can connect, and MCP adds no limits of its own. Your AI Agent needs an active plan to reply to customers; you can start with a 7-day free trial.
Yes. Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex and Gemini CLI can use https://mcp.chatfuel.com/panel/api. It gives the assistant the full Chatfuel GraphQL API: leads, catalog, appointments and every query your account allows.
