Can I Sync My Catalog with Facebook or Instagram Shops?

No, Chatfuel does not sync with Facebook Shops, Instagram Shops, or Meta Commerce Manager catalogs. There is no way to import products from these platforms into Chatfuel, and Chatfuel's catalog cannot be exported or connected to them.

Why it doesn't sync

Facebook and Instagram Shops are designed for browsing and checkout within Meta's own apps. Chatfuel's catalog serves a different purpose — it gives the AI the product and service information it needs to answer customer questions in chat. These are two separate systems with no integration between them.

What to do instead

Use Chatfuel's built-in Catalog to add your products and services directly:

1. Go to Knowledge Base → Catalog.
2. Click Add item.
3. Fill in the product or service name, description (include sizes, measurements, and prices), and optionally attach photos.
4. Save and repeat for each item.

Once your items are in the Catalog, the AI will automatically use them to answer customer questions about your products, pricing, and availability — across all connected channels including Instagram, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp.

If you have many products

There is currently no bulk import option — items must be added one by one. If you have a large product catalog in your Facebook or Instagram shop, you will need to re-enter the key items manually into Chatfuel's Catalog.

Focus on the products customers ask about most often. You don't need to copy your entire shop — just the items the AI should be able to discuss in chat.
