Chatfuel MCP Example Prompts

Ready-to-use requests for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other assistants connected to Chatfuel MCP, by task, plus requests the assistant will decline.

Last updated on

An assistant connected to the Chatfuel MCP server understands requests in your own words, in any language. The prompts below are tested requests grouped by task. Copy one, change the details to your business, and send it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Muse or any other connected assistant.

How to check your bots

  • "Show me my bots."
  • "How is my bot doing? Is the AI on, and how are the recent chats going?"
  • "Show me how my AI assistant is set up: what it knows about my company and which automations are on."

How to turn on and tune the AI

  • "Set up an AI assistant for my bot that answers my customers' questions."
  • "Turn on AI for my Instagram and WhatsApp."
  • "Stop the AI from answering my Instagram direct messages for a while, I'll answer them myself. Don't lose my settings."
  • "When a customer asks for a refund, my bot should hand the chat to my team and tell the customer a manager will reply soon."
  • "Make the AI answer around the clock, not only outside working hours."

How to fill in the Knowledge Base

  • "Add a FAQ to my bot: 'Do you deliver on Sundays?' — 'No, we deliver Monday to Saturday.'"
  • "Add an FAQ: customers ask whether we ship internationally, the answer is yes, to the EU and the UK, 5–10 business days."
  • "Our company is now called Sunny Bakery & Cafe. Update it in my bot and set our phone to +1 555 0100."
  • "We're open Monday to Friday 9:00–19:00 and Saturday 10:00–16:00. Update the business hours."

Step-by-step guidance is in how to train Fuely AI from Claude or ChatGPT.

How to set up comment replies

  • "Make the AI reply to comments on my latest Instagram post."
  • "Make the AI reply to comments only under a few of my Instagram posts, not under all of them."
  • "DM everyone who comments 'price' with our price list."
  • "Reply to comments on my Instagram only in English."

How to work with chats and bookings

  • "Daily check: summarize yesterday's chats of my bot and list suggested fixes. Don't change anything."
  • "Look at my recent chats and improve my bot's answers."
  • "Reply to the customer who wrote to my bot most recently and tell them we will call them back tomorrow."
  • "Why doesn't the AI answer in my latest chat anymore?"
  • "Set up booking for my salon: Haircut, 60 minutes, 30 USD, and Beard trim, 30 minutes, 15 USD. Anna does both, Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:00."
  • "What appointments do I have this week?" (on the API MCP link)

How to test and fix the bot

  • "Check how my bot answers a customer asking 'Do you deliver on Sundays?'"
  • "My bot stopped replying to customers. Why?"
  • "My customers on Instagram say the bot doesn't answer them. Why?"
  • "What happens when a customer writes to my bot outside business hours?"

Which requests will the assistant decline?

Some requests are done only in the Chatfuel dashboard, and the assistant says so instead of trying:

  • "Turn off the AI on all my channels." The assistant offers to turn off single automations instead.
  • "Show me the flows of my bot." Flows can't be shown or edited through MCP.
  • "Delete my workspace and all bots in it."
  • "Send a broadcast to all my contacts."

On a Read-only connection, every request that changes something is declined, and the assistant asks you to reconnect with full access. Which tools sit behind these prompts is in Chatfuel MCP tools and playbooks.

Common issues

The assistant asks which bot I mean

The assistant works with one bot per conversation. Name the bot in your first message, for example "In my Sunny Bakery bot, add an FAQ…".

The assistant asked a question and did nothing after I said "up to you"

Changes need a clear yes. Answer "Yes" or say exactly what to change. For "AI or fixed text" questions, "up to you" means the assistant picks AI replies and tells you.
