No. Fuely AI cannot send PDFs, documents, or arbitrary files to customers. The AI communicates through text messages only — it cannot attach or deliver files in a conversation.

The one exception is product photos: if you upload images to your catalog items, Fuely AI can send those to customers. See how to configure photo sending settings for how to control when and how many it sends.

Why it works this way

Messaging platforms (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) have strict rules about what automated bots can send. Attaching files adds complexity around file size limits, format compatibility, and delivery reliability. Keeping Fuely AI text-only ensures every response is delivered consistently across all channels.

What to do instead

If you need customers to access a PDF or document, upload the file to a cloud storage service and give Fuely AI the link:

  1. Upload your file to Google Drive, Dropbox, or any file hosting service.
  2. Make sure the file link is publicly accessible (or accessible to anyone with the link).
  3. Add the link to your Knowledge Base — in the relevant FAQ answer, Catalog description, or About section.
  4. Fuely AI will share the link with customers when the topic comes up in conversation.

For example, if customers often ask for your price list, add an FAQ entry like:

Tips

  • Use short, memorable file names so the link looks trustworthy to customers.
  • Double-check that your link works in an incognito browser window — if you can't open it without logging in, customers won't be able to either.
  • The same approach works for sharing videos — upload to YouTube or Vimeo and add the link to your Knowledge Base.
  • If you uploaded files during registration, that content was extracted as text into your Knowledge Base — the original files are not stored or sent to customers.
