Does Chatfuel support direct payment methods?
No. Chatfuel does not offer built-in payment gateway integrations. You cannot connect Stripe, PayPal, or any other payment processor directly to the platform.
How to verify payments using receipt images
Even without a direct integration, your chatbot can still handle payment verification through receipt analysis. Here is how it works:
- Your Fuely AI asks the customer to make a payment using your preferred method (bank transfer, mobile payment, etc.).
- The customer sends a photo or screenshot of the payment receipt inside the chat.
- The AI analyzes the receipt image to confirm the payment was made.
- Once verified, the conversation moves forward — for example, confirming an order or booking.
Set it up in the Knowledge Base
- Add your accepted payment methods, bank details, and payment instructions to your Knowledge Base so the AI can share them with customers.
- Describe the payment verification flow in Additional instructions on your automation (use Main bot to apply it everywhere): tell the AI what payment method customers should use, what a valid receipt looks like, and what to do after verification succeeds or fails.
Or ask the AI Co-Worker
Tell the AI Co-Worker what you want in chat:
"Set up my AI to send my payment details and verify the receipts customers send."
It updates your payment instructions and how-to-pay info for you and confirms what it set.
Note: The AI shares your payment info with customers and checks the receipts they send — it can't process charges.
Tips
- The AI can process both photos taken of physical receipts and screenshots of digital payment confirmations.
- If the receipt is unclear or cannot be verified, the AI can ask the customer to resend or escalate the conversation to your team.
