How to Change Lead Stages

Can I customize lead stages or statuses?

Currently, it's not possible to rename, add, or remove lead stages in Chatfuel. The pipeline uses a fixed set of five stages: Captured, Sorting, Qualified, Selling, and Closed.

We've already forwarded this request to the Chatfuel team. They will review it and work on making customizable stages available as soon as possible.

Set it up in Leads

While custom stages aren't available yet, you can still manage your pipeline effectively:

1. Go to the Leads tab in the sidebar.
2. Drag a lead card to the stage you want.
3. Close leads as won or lost to keep your pipeline clean.

Use assignee filters to organize leads by team member.

Or ask the AI Co-Worker

Tell the AI Co-Worker what you want in chat:

• "Move Maria García to the Qualified stage."
• "Close the lead +57 300 123 4567 as won."

It updates the lead's stage for you and confirms what it set.
