Each bot in Chatfuel lives inside its own company workspace. To create a new WhatsApp bot, you first create a new company, then connect your WhatsApp number to it.

Step 1: Create a new company

  1. Click the arrow next to your avatar in the bottom-left corner of the navigation menu.
  2. Hover over your name to expand the menu.
  3. Click My Companies.
  4. Click Create New Company.

Your new company appears in the list immediately. If you manage multiple clients or businesses, each one gets its own separate company workspace with independent bots, channels, and billing.

Step 2: Connect your WhatsApp number

Once inside your new company:

  1. Open Settings in the left sidebar.
  2. Click Add number in the WhatsApp section.
  3. Follow the on-screen steps to log in with Facebook, authorize Chatfuel, and verify your phone number.

For a detailed walkthrough of the connection process, see How to connect a new phone number. If you want to move an existing WhatsApp Business App number to Chatfuel, see Connect WhatsApp Business App Number.

Step 3: Set up your AI

After your number is connected, activate AI on your WhatsApp channel by enabling its automations and filling your Knowledge Base. This is what makes the bot actually respond to customers.

Switching between bots

To switch to a different bot, click the arrow next to your avatar again, open My Companies, and select the company you want to work in. The dashboard switches to that company's workspace instantly.
