Can I Enable AI for One Channel but Not Another?

Yes — natively. Every channel source (Instagram DMs, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp DMs, TikTok comments, the website widget, and so on) has its own automation with its own toggle. Turning a source's automation on or off is exactly how you enable or disable AI there, and you can go as granular as a single post or ad.

Set it up in Automations

1. Go to Fuely AI → Automations.
2. Find the source you want in the list — automations are grouped by channel.
3. Toggle that source's automation on or off.

A few things to know:

• Main bot is the master switch. Turn it off and Fuely AI stops replying everywhere, no matter what the individual sources are set to.
• Every source except Main bot starts off. Activating AI on a channel means enabling that source's automation — nothing replies until you do.
• Custom automations count too. Turning off a source's base automation doesn't silence the source if an enabled custom automation still matches — disable those as well if you want full silence there.

Tell it what you want in chat:

"Answer all WhatsApp messages, but don't reply to Instagram DMs."

It applies the change and confirms what it set.

How this plays with sessions

The AI's decision to answer follows where the conversation started. A reply opens a 24-hour session tied to that source, and only answered interactions keep it alive — if you turn a source off mid-session, the AI simply goes quiet and the session expires. Example

You have WhatsApp connected and AI answers all direct messages there. Now you connect Instagram, but only want AI handling ad comment replies. In Automations, leave WhatsApp DMs on, keep Instagram DMs off, and enable the Instagram ad comments automation — or tell the Co-Worker: "On Instagram, only handle leads from ads." WhatsApp keeps working as before, and on Instagram AI only engages contacts coming from your ads.
