How to Get a Blue Verification Badge on WhatsApp

The blue verification badge (blue checkmark) on WhatsApp is part of Meta Verified, a paid subscription offered by Meta. It is not available through Chatfuel.

Not the same as business verification or green checkmark. Business verification is a separate process that unlocks messaging limits — it does not give you any badge. The green checkmark (Official Business Account) is also a different process.

Can I get the blue badge with Chatfuel?

It depends on how you connect your number:

• WhatsApp Business App number — subscribe to Meta Verified in the WhatsApp Business App to get the blue badge.
• New number from Chatfuel — if you get a new number through Chatfuel, it's connected via the API and is not eligible for Meta Verified. You cannot get the blue badge for this number.

What you can get instead

If you're using Chatfuel (WhatsApp Business Platform), you can apply for:

• Green badge — Official Business Account (OBA) status, which shows your business name with a green checkmark. This is the equivalent verification for API-connected numbers.
• Business verification — verifies your Meta business portfolio, unlocks higher messaging limits, and is a prerequisite for the green badge.
