To prevent spam, TikTok has specific messaging limits and delivery rules. These rules apply to TikTok only.
Regional restrictions
US accounts: If your TikTok account was signed up in the United States, you cannot connect it to Chatfuel.
EU accounts: If a contact has a TikTok account from the EU, their messages will not appear in Leads, Contacts, or Chats.
Direct messages
When a contact sends you a direct message:
- You can send up to 10 messages within a 48-hour window
- The 48-hour window resets each time the contact replies
- Once the window closes, no messages can be sent until the contact messages you again
Comments
When a contact leaves a comment on your TikTok content:
- You cannot send a direct message to them if they have never texted you in direct messages
- No messaging window opens from public comments
- The contact must send you a direct message first to enable any communication in direct messages
In other words, you can only message contacts who have messaged you in the last 48 hours.
Voice messages
If a contact sends a voice message:
- Voice messages are not supported inside Chats tab
- Fuely AI cannot reply to voice messages — see how AI works with voice messages for details on supported platforms
