How to Set Up Fuely AI Profile
Fuely AI needs a persona to talk to customers well — a name, a language, a tone, a way of greeting people.

Fuely AI needs a persona to talk to customers well — a name, a language, a tone, a way of greeting people. There is no longer a separate Profile page for this. Everything that shaped the AI's persona now lives in Additional instructions, part of the Incoming messages setting on each automation. Write the instructions on Main bot to shape the persona everywhere, or on one source's automation to give that channel its own voice.
Where the old Profile fields went
If you used the old Profile page, here is where each field lives now:
| Old Profile field | Where it is now |
|---|---|
| Name | Additional instructions — tell the AI what to call itself |
| Language | Additional instructions — tell the AI what language to speak |
| Welcome message | Additional instructions — describe how to greet new customers |
| Fallback message | Additional instructions — say what to answer when it doesn't know |
| Length of messages | Additional instructions — e.g. "keep replies short" |
| Emoji usage | Additional instructions — e.g. "use at most one emoji per message" |
| Message delay | The Message delays setting on each automation |
| Respond to customers | The When AI replies setting on each automation |
Set it up in Automations
- Go to Fuely AI → Automations.
- Open Main bot to set the persona everywhere, or the automation for one channel or post to change it just there.
- Open the Incoming messages setting and edit Additional instructions.
- Describe the persona in plain language. One block can cover everything the old Profile fields did:
Your name is Sofia. Speak Spanish. Keep replies short and friendly, with at most one emoji per message. Greet new customers with: "¡Hola! Soy Sofia 👋 ¿En qué te puedo ayudar hoy?" If you don't know the answer, say you'll check with the team and offer to connect them with a human.
Anything you want the AI to do or avoid — tone, phrases, topics, rules — goes in the same place.
Or ask the AI Co-Worker
Tell it what you want in chat:
"Rename the AI to Sofia, make it speak Spanish, and use fewer emojis."
It applies the change and confirms what it set.
Note: Additional instructions shape how the AI behaves. What it knows — your company info, FAQ, catalog, working hours — lives in the Knowledge Base. For the full setup walkthrough, see the definitive AI setup guide.
