How to Set Up Automation for Specific Posts or Ads
Point a custom automation at selected posts, ads, stories or an ig.me/m.me link so that content gets its own AI instructions, keywords and replies.

You can point a custom automation at specific content — selected posts, ads, stories, or an ig.me or m.me link — so different content gets different treatment: one reply style for your launch post, another for a discount reel, a dedicated greeting for leads from a particular ad campaign.
Set it up in Automations
- Go to Fuely AI → Automations.
- Open the source the content belongs to — Instagram post & reel comments, ad comments, story replies, ig.me links, Facebook posts, m.me links, or a click-to-ad source on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok.
- Create a custom automation (or open an existing one) and set its targeting:
- List of posts — pick the posts or reels the rule applies to.
- List of ads — enter the ad. Paste the ad ID from Meta Ads Manager, or simply paste the full Ads Manager URL — Chatfuel extracts the ad ID from the link automatically.
- List of stories — pick the stories.
- Ref links — for ig.me and m.me links, so each link can start a different conversation.
- Optionally add keywords to narrow it further — for example, react only to comments containing "price" on those posts.
- Set the replies and turn the rule on.
You can target up to 50 posts, ads, or stories per rule.
Or ask the AI Co-Worker
Tell it what you want in chat:
"For comments on this ad — [paste the Ads Manager link] — reply publicly with a thank-you and DM the catalog"
It creates the rule targeted at that ad and confirms what it set.
What happens to everything else
Content you didn't target falls through the priority order: first any general custom rules on the source, then the base automation. So a post-specific rule never turns off replies elsewhere — it just takes over its own posts.
Note: A rule targeted at specific content beats every general rule on that content — even a general rule with a more precise keyword.
