Fuely AI can automatically reply under comments on your TikTok videos.

Fuely AI can automatically reply under comments on your TikTok videos. Comments are one of the TikTok sources in [Automations](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/automations): the source has a permanent **base automation** that can answer every comment, and on top of it you can add up to 30 [custom automations](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-create-a-custom-automation) — named keyword rules with their own replies.

> **Note:** TikTok comment automations send a **Public reply** only — the answer visible under the comment. Unlike Instagram and Facebook, there is no private-reply setting, because TikTok [doesn't allow DMing someone based on their comment](https://chatfuel.com/docs/tiktok/can-i-send-dm-after-tiktok-comment). ## How replies are chosen [#how-replies-are-chosen]

* **The base automation** is the catch-all: it answers any comment that no custom rule catches, adapting each reply to the comment using your instructions and knowledge base. Like every base, it starts off.
* **Custom automations** react to keywords. A rule can match the **exact** comment text, comments that **contain** the keyword, or **any** comment. Each rule has its own **Public reply**.
* In **Incoming messages** you can also choose **not to reply** on the comment source — for example, to keep the base silent so only your keyword rules answer.

When several rules could match the same comment, a [priority order picks the winner](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/which-automation-replies-to-a-message-or-comment): exact keyword beats contains, which beats catch-all, and custom rules beat the base.

## Set it up in Automations [#set-it-up-in-automations]

1. Go to **Fuely AI** → **Automations**.
2. Under **TikTok**, open the comments source.
3. Turn on the base automation to answer every comment, and use **Additional instructions** to shape how it talks — tone, goal, examples of what to say.
4. To react to specific words, add a custom automation: name it, set the keywords and how they match, and write its **Public reply**.
5. Turn your rules on and [test them](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-test-your-automation) — use the **Test chat**, or leave a comment on one of your videos.

Keyword rules are useful for routing people to offers or information instantly. When someone comments *PROMO*, the reply shares your discount code; when they comment *HOURS*, it shares your opening times.

Public replies can include links — great for directing people to your website, products, or booking pages.

### Messaging Limits [#messaging-limits]

TikTok [limits how you can message people](https://chatfuel.com/docs/tiktok/messaging-rules-for-tiktok):

* **Comments only** — you cannot DM someone based on their comment; they must message you first.
* **48-hour window** — once someone DMs you, you have 48 hours to send up to 10 messages.
* **Window resets** — the 48-hour timer restarts each time they reply to you.

### Regional Restrictions [#regional-restrictions]

* **US accounts** — TikTok accounts signed up in the United States cannot connect to Chatfuel.
* **EU contacts** — contacts with EU TikTok accounts will not appear in Leads, Contacts, or Chats.
