# How to Request Access or Deletion of Your Data

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data.

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. Chatfuel supports all data subject rights under GDPR and Latin American data protection laws (known as ARCO rights in LATAM: Access, Rectification, Cancellation, Opposition).

## What You Can Request [#what-you-can-request]

* **Access** — get a copy of your personal data, including what we process, why, and who receives it
* **Rectification** — correct any inaccurate or incomplete data
* **Deletion** — request permanent removal of your personal data
* **Opposition** — object to certain types of data processing, including opting out of direct marketing
* **Portability** — receive your data in a machine-readable format (JSON/CSV) for transfer to another service
* **Restriction** — temporarily suspend processing while a dispute is being verified

You can also submit requests through:

* The web form or email listed in our Privacy Policy
* Your client admin portal (if requesting on behalf of your end-users)

## What Happens Next [#what-happens-next]

1. **Acknowledgment** — we confirm receipt within **5 business days** with a ticket ID and expected timeline
2. **Verification** — we verify your identity using email confirmation, SMS code, or account login. If we can't verify within 10 business days, we'll let you know the next steps
3. **Fulfillment** — your request is completed within **20-30 calendar days**. If it's complex, we may extend once with justification
4. **Confirmation** — you receive confirmation of the action taken (data provided, corrected, or deleted)

## Data Exports [#data-exports]

When you request access or portability, we:

1. Locate your records across all our systems
2. Generate an export in JSON or CSV format
3. Redact any third-party secrets or other users' data
4. Provide a secure, time-limited download link

## Data Deletion [#data-deletion]

When you request deletion, we:

1. Confirm the scope and legal basis
2. Delete data from primary storage
3. Queue deletion from logs and analytics
4. Propagate deletion to all subprocessors
5. Document any exceptions with legal basis (e.g., data we must keep for tax or regulatory reasons)

Note: legal holds or regulatory retention requirements may override deletion requests for specific data.
