# How to Set Up Bookings From an AI Assistant

Ask an assistant connected to Chatfuel MCP to add bookable services and specialists so Fuely AI books customers in chat. Appointments are on API MCP.

An AI assistant connected to the Chatfuel MCP server can set up what customers book through Fuely AI: services with their duration and price, and the specialists who provide them. After that, the AI offers free slots and books customers in the chat according to your booking rules.

## How to add services and specialists [#how-to-add-services-and-specialists]

Describe your services in one message:

* *"Set up booking for my salon: Haircut, 60 minutes, 30 USD, and Beard trim, 30 minutes, 15 USD. Anna does both, Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:00."*
* *"Add a haircut: 45 minutes, $30."*

The assistant asks one yes/no question that names the changes, then creates the services and specialists with their working days and hours. One request can add up to 50 services and 30 specialists. A new service needs a duration.

## How to change or remove a service [#how-to-change-or-remove-a-service]

Name the service as it's called now: *"Change the Haircut price to 35 USD."* The assistant matches services by title and specialists by name, and updates only the fields you name. Adding and updating never deletes anything.

To delete, ask *"Remove the Beard trim service."* The assistant asks for a yes first. Bookings customers already made for that service stay.

## How to choose how the AI books [#how-to-choose-how-the-ai-books]

Booking rules set how much the AI does on its own. The AI can only collect booking requests, book with your team's approval or review, book on its own, or not book at all. Ask, for example, *"Let the AI book appointments on its own."* The levels are explained in [AI autonomy levels](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/ai-autonomy-levels).

## How to see and manage appointments [#how-to-see-and-manage-appointments]

Reading appointments and booking, moving, confirming or cancelling them work on the API MCP link `https://mcp.chatfuel.com/panel/api`, for example *"What appointments do I have this week?"*. On the MCP link, the assistant points you to the calendar in the Chatfuel dashboard. The difference is in [MCP or API MCP: which Chatfuel link to use](https://chatfuel.com/docs/mcp/which-chatfuel-mcp-link-to-use).

## Common issues [#common-issues]

### Customers can't book a specialist's free slot [#customers-cant-book-a-specialists-free-slot]

Check the specialist's working hours and services in the Calendar, and whether their Google Calendar is connected, as described in [how to set up the Calendar](https://chatfuel.com/docs/calendar/how-to-set-up-calendar). Connecting Google Calendar is done in the dashboard, not through MCP.

### The assistant refused to add a specialist [#the-assistant-refused-to-add-a-specialist]

The name matched several existing specialists. Give the full first and last name of the one to change.
