# How to Connect Claude to Chatfuel

Add Chatfuel as a custom connector in Claude with https://mcp.chatfuel.com/panel, sign in, and turn it on in a chat to manage your bots from Claude.

Claude connects to Chatfuel as a custom connector that points to the Chatfuel MCP server. You add the connector once, sign in with your Chatfuel account, and then Claude can work with your bots on claude.ai, in Claude Desktop and in the Claude mobile apps.

The connector link is:

```
https://mcp.chatfuel.com/panel
```

## How to add the Chatfuel connector [#how-to-add-the-chatfuel-connector]

1. In Claude, open **Customize** → **Connectors**.
2. Click **+ Add** → **Add custom connector**.
3. Enter the name Chatfuel and the link `https://mcp.chatfuel.com/panel`, click **Continue**, then **Add**. Keep the default sign-in settings.
4. Click **Connect** and sign in to Chatfuel. On the consent screen, leave **Read-only** off if Claude should be able to make changes.

## How to use Chatfuel in a chat [#how-to-use-chatfuel-in-a-chat]

In a chat, click **+** in the message box → **Connectors** and turn Chatfuel on. Then write what you need, for example *"Show me my bots and which ones have AI turned on."* The connector works in Claude Desktop and the mobile apps on the same Claude account without extra setup.

## How to add the connector on Team and Enterprise plans [#how-to-add-the-connector-on-team-and-enterprise-plans]

On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector first in **Organization settings** → **Connectors**. Members then open **Customize** → **Connectors**, click **Connect** next to Chatfuel and sign in with their own Chatfuel account, so each person works with their own permissions.

## Can I connect Claude with a CLI token instead of signing in? [#can-i-connect-claude-with-a-cli-token-instead-of-signing-in]

Yes. When adding the custom connector, choose **No sign in** under **Authentication** and add the request header `Authorization: Bearer <token>`, where `<token>` is your Chatfuel CLI token. On Team and Enterprise, everyone who uses that connector then acts as the token's owner, so prefer signing in there. Where to get the token is in [Chatfuel MCP sign-in, read-only access and CLI token](https://chatfuel.com/docs/mcp/mcp-sign-in-read-only-and-cli-token).

## What can I ask Claude? [#what-can-i-ask-claude]

Claude can turn on Fuely AI, fill in the Knowledge Base, set up comment replies, add bookable services and review your chats. Examples:

* *"Turn on AI for my Instagram bot."*
* *"Add an FAQ: we deliver Monday to Saturday."*
* *"Why didn't the bot answer on Instagram last night?"*

More requests are in [Chatfuel MCP example prompts](https://chatfuel.com/docs/mcp/chatfuel-mcp-example-prompts). An overview of Claude with Chatfuel is on [chatfuel.com/mcp/claude](https://chatfuel.com/mcp/claude). For Claude Code in the terminal, see [how to connect Claude Code to Chatfuel](https://chatfuel.com/docs/mcp/connect-claude-code-to-chatfuel).

## Common issues [#common-issues]

### I don't see Chatfuel tools in my chat [#i-dont-see-chatfuel-tools-in-my-chat]

Turn the connector on in the chat: click **+** in the message box → **Connectors** → Chatfuel. A connector that isn't turned on in a chat isn't used there.

### Claude asks me to sign in again [#claude-asks-me-to-sign-in-again]

The Chatfuel sign-in has expired or was revoked in **Connected apps** in the Chatfuel dashboard. Open **Customize** → **Connectors**, click **Connect** next to Chatfuel and sign in again.

### Claude can read my bots but can't change them [#claude-can-read-my-bots-but-cant-change-them]

The connector was signed in with **Read-only** on. Disconnect Chatfuel in **Customize** → **Connectors**, connect again and leave **Read-only** off.
