# Why There Is No Flows Button

If you're looking for the Flows button in Chatfuel and can't find it — that's by design.

If you're looking for the Flows button in Chatfuel and can't find it — that's by design. Chatfuel's current products are built around [AI automations](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/automations), not the flow builder.

## Automations instead of flows [#automations-instead-of-flows]

With flows, you mapped out every conversation path by hand: dragging blocks, connecting arrows, debugging logic. Automations work differently — [Fuely AI](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/what-is-fuely-ai) holds the conversation on its own, guided by your [Knowledge Base](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-set-up-knowledge-base) and the instructions you set per channel or per post. You describe the behavior; the AI handles the wording and the branching.

You manage automations in two equal ways:

* In the dashboard, at **Fuely AI** → **Automations** — [here's how the page is organized](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/automations).
* By asking the [AI Co-Worker](/docs/ai-features/what-the-ai-co-worker-can-do-for-you) in chat — *"set up comment auto-replies for my reels"* — and it configures it for you.

Typical flow use cases map directly: [comment auto-replies](https://chatfuel.com/docs/instagram/instagram-comment-autoreply), [follow-ups](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-set-up-follow-ups), [appointment booking](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-set-up-ai-autobooking), [routing ad leads by keyword](https://chatfuel.com/docs/whatsapp/how-to-route-ad-leads-with-keywords), [handing chats to your team](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-set-up-chat-assignment-rules).

## What if you need to access flows [#what-if-you-need-to-access-flows]

If you have an existing flow you need to review, ask the AI Co-Worker — it can navigate you to the flow editor. But the Co-Worker [can't build or edit flows](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/why-co-worker-cant-edit-flows); for new setups, describe the outcome you want and it will configure an automation instead.

## Getting started [#getting-started]

Start with the [guide on how the app works](https://chatfuel.com/docs/getting-started/how-this-app-works), then the [complete AI setup guide](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-set-up-ai-the-definitive-guide) — it takes you from an empty knowledge base to working automations step by step.
