# Can I Recover a Deleted Flow

No. Once a flow is deleted in Chatfuel, it cannot be recovered.

No. Once a flow is deleted in Chatfuel, it cannot be recovered. There is no trash, undo, or backup system for flows — deletion is permanent.

## Before You Delete [#before-you-delete]

Make sure you no longer need the flow before removing it. If you think you might want to reference it later, take screenshots or copy the logic somewhere before deleting.

## Consider Using Automations Instead [#consider-using-automations-instead]

If you were relying on flows, consider switching to [automations](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/automations) — the current, recommended way to automate conversations in Chatfuel. They're easier to configure and don't require manual flow building: set them up at **Fuely AI** → **Automations**, or ask the [AI Co-Worker](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/what-the-ai-co-worker-can-do-for-you) in chat — both do the same thing. For most use cases, [automations replace flows entirely](https://chatfuel.com/docs/getting-started/why-there-is-no-flows-button).
