# Connect the client's Facebook

If your client has an active Facebook Page — Messenger inquiries, comments under posts, ads that open Messenger — connect it alongside Instagram.

If your client has an active Facebook Page — Messenger inquiries, comments under posts, ads that open Messenger — connect it alongside [Instagram](https://chatfuel.com/docs/for-agencies/connect-the-clients-instagram). It takes a minute or two, and once the client has let you into their business, you do it yourself.

## Before you click Connect [#before-you-click-connect]

* **Get into the client's business first.** Access to the client's Facebook Page is part of the same onboarding package as everything else — the client invites your agency into their business, and from then on you connect and manage the channel yourself. Collect it once, with [the rest of the access checklist](https://chatfuel.com/docs/for-agencies/what-to-ask-the-client-for), via [partner access](https://chatfuel.com/docs/for-agencies/meta-partner-access).
* **You need Admin or Editor** in the client's company in Chatfuel.
* **You need admin access to the Page** in Facebook. Facebook only lists Pages your account administers; if the Page is missing from the list, the access hasn't been granted yet.
* **A Facebook login for Instagram or WhatsApp doesn't connect the Page.** Even if you already authorized with Facebook to connect the client's Instagram, the Facebook channel is a separate connection in **Settings** → **Facebook**. Each bot connects one Page.

> **Note:** connecting Facebook is one of the few steps the AI Co-Worker won't complete for you — it requires authorizing with Facebook. It can take you straight to the right screen, though: just ask.

## Connecting the Page [#connecting-the-page]

1. **Open the Facebook settings.** In the client's company, go to **Settings → Facebook** and click **Connect Facebook**.
2. **Log in.** If no active session is found, a login screen appears — sign in using the access the client granted you.
3. **Allow access.** Approve Chatfuel's access to Pages and ad accounts — the ad-account access is what lets Chatfuel attribute leads from the client's ads that click to Messenger.
4. **Pick the Page.** In **Choose a Facebook Page**, select the client's Page and click **Connect Page**.
5. **Confirm it's connected.** Done — the Page now shows under **Settings → Facebook**. From here, [turn on the sources the client needs](https://chatfuel.com/docs/facebook/how-to-activate-ai-in-facebook).

## If Facebook "goes silent" [#if-facebook-goes-silent]

Facebook connections occasionally drop. If the AI stops answering Messenger or comments, check this before anything else: **Settings → Facebook** — reconnect the Page. If the login popup doesn't open at all, a VPN or ad blocker is blocking Facebook; disable it and retry.
