# How to Connect a Facebook Fanpage

Below, you'll learn how to connect your Facebook Page (fanpage) to Chatfuel.

Below, you'll learn how to connect your Facebook Page (fanpage) to Chatfuel. Most steps are automatic and take a minute or two.

> **Note:** Connecting a Facebook Page is one of the few steps the AI Co-Worker can't complete for you — it requires authorizing with Facebook in your own account. The Co-Worker can take you straight to the right page: just ask.

## Fanpage = Facebook Page [#fanpage--facebook-page]

A "fanpage" is simply another name for a Facebook Page. There is no difference — if you have a fanpage, you already have a Facebook Page, and the connection process is the same.

## Facebook login is not a connected Page [#facebook-login-is-not-a-connected-page]

If you have already logged in with Facebook to connect Instagram or WhatsApp, your Facebook Page is not connected yet. Instagram and WhatsApp use Facebook only to authorize; the Facebook channel itself — Messenger and comments under your posts — is a Page connected in **Settings** → **Facebook**. Each bot connects one Page.

## How to connect your Facebook Page [#how-to-connect-your-facebook-page]

1. Open **Settings** → **Facebook**, then click **Connect Facebook**.
2. If you're not already logged into Facebook, log in. Use an account that has admin access to the Page you want to connect.
3. Allow Chatfuel access to your Pages when Facebook asks. Facebook also lists ad accounts in the same request — that's what lets Chatfuel recognize leads from your [ads that click to Messenger](https://chatfuel.com/docs/facebook/m-me-links-and-ads-that-click-to-messenger).
4. In the **Choose a Facebook Page** window, pick the Page this bot should manage and click **Connect Page**.
5. Done! Your Page now shows under **Settings** → **Facebook**.

Once connected, you can [activate AI on your Facebook Page](https://chatfuel.com/docs/facebook/how-to-activate-ai-in-facebook) to start automating replies. You can also set up your [automations](https://chatfuel.com/docs/facebook/facebook-tasks) before connecting — they go live the moment the Page connects.

## Known issues [#known-issues]

**The login window doesn't open.** If you see "Facebook SDK failed to load", a VPN or ad blocker is blocking Facebook. Disable it and try again; Chatfuel falls back to a full-page Facebook login when the popup is blocked.

**No Pages are listed.** Facebook only offers Pages where your account has admin access. Check the Page's roles in Facebook, or log in with the account that administers the Page.

**The connection dropped.** If the AI stops answering, go to **Settings** → **Facebook** and reconnect the Page.

## Disconnecting [#disconnecting]

To disconnect, open **Settings** → **Facebook** and click **Disconnect**. Your automations keep their settings and go live again when you connect a Page. You can also ask the AI Co-Worker to disconnect the Page — it confirms with you before doing it.
