# Plan Usage Notifications

Yes — Chatfuel tells you when your wallet is running low, so you're never caught off guard.

Yes — Chatfuel tells you when your [wallet](https://chatfuel.com/docs/billing/how-your-wallet-and-credits-work) is running low, so you're never caught off guard.

## When you'll be notified [#when-youll-be-notified]

We notify you when the balance drops toward zero, and again if a top-up fails. Notifications go to the email address on your Chatfuel account and appear inside the app, so keep your billing email current.

## Why this matters [#why-this-matters]

Your plan includes a set amount of credits each billing cycle, and everything you use draws from that balance — AI replies, WhatsApp templates, and the [messages Meta charges for](https://chatfuel.com/docs/whatsapp/how-much-does-meta-charge-for-whatsapp-messages). Most businesses never come close to spending it all, but traffic can climb quickly: a viral post, a seasonal campaign, a new ad. The warning is your cue to act before the balance reaches zero.

## What happens if you ignore it [#what-happens-if-you-ignore-it]

At zero, processing stops. Your automations stop replying and messages stop going out until the wallet is funded again. Your account, contacts, conversation history, and live chat are untouched — see [what to do when you hit your limit](https://chatfuel.com/docs/billing/what-to-do-when-you-hit-your-limit) to get running again in a couple of minutes.

The reliable way to avoid this is auto-top-up: you set the amount, and we add it to the wallet from your card before the balance runs out.

## Set it up in Billing [#set-it-up-in-billing]

1. Go to the **Billing** tab.
2. Confirm the card on file is valid — [these are the cards we accept](https://chatfuel.com/docs/billing/accepted-payment-methods).
3. Turn on **auto-top-up** and choose how much to add each time.

## Or ask the AI Co-Worker [#or-ask-the-ai-co-worker]

Tell it what you want in chat:

*"What's my balance, and will anything stop this week?"*

It shows your current balance and spend, and points you to the right place in Billing.

## Where to check your usage [#where-to-check-your-usage]

You don't have to wait for a notification. Your balance is always visible at the top of the AI Co-Worker chat, and your billing page breaks down every charge by day and by type — AI, templates, and Meta's message charges — so you can see where the money actually went.
