# What the AI Co-Worker Can Do for You

The AI Co-Worker is the assistant you chat with inside Chatfuel.

The AI Co-Worker is the assistant you chat with inside Chatfuel. It's different from [Fuely AI](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/what-is-fuely-ai), the agent that talks to your customers: the Co-Worker works for *you* — it configures your account, manages your data, and answers questions about the product. Everything it configures you can also change yourself in the dashboard — the Co-Worker and the settings pages are two equal ways to the same result. Use whichever is faster for the moment.

## What it does for you directly [#what-it-does-for-you-directly]

Ask in plain language and the Co-Worker makes the change itself (each of these also lives in the dashboard, mostly under **Fuely AI** → **Automations**):

* **Automations** — everything in [Automations](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/automations): turn AI on or off [per channel and source](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/can-i-enable-ai-for-one-channel-but-not-another), [create, rename, and delete custom rules](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-create-a-custom-automation) for keywords, [specific posts and ads](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-set-up-automation-for-specific-posts-or-ads), and tell you [which rule will answer a given comment](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/which-automation-replies-to-a-message-or-comment).
* **AI behavior and personality** — the [Additional instructions](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-set-up-fuely-ai-profile) that set name, language, greeting, and tone; [follow-ups](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-set-up-follow-ups); [message delays](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-add-a-pause-between-messages); [working-hours behavior](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-configure-working-hours); the [chat timeout](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-automatically-return-chat-to-ai); [collecting contact info](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-collect-contact-info).
* **Knowledge Base** — add, edit, or delete your [company info and FAQs](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-set-up-knowledge-base) so the AI answers customers correctly.
* **Human handoff** — set up [switch-to-human rules](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-set-up-chat-assignment-rules) so the right conversations reach the right teammate.
* **Bookings** — set up [autobooking](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-set-up-ai-autobooking): services, specialists, schedules, and the [autonomy level](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/ai-autonomy-levels). It can also create, move, or cancel individual bookings for you.
* **Catalog** — add or update products and services, including [a whole price list pasted in chat](https://chatfuel.com/docs/catalog/can-i-upload-a-price-list).
* **Leads** — move leads between [pipeline stages](https://chatfuel.com/docs/leads/leads), close chats as won or lost, and pull summaries or [insights from your conversations](https://chatfuel.com/docs/leads/can-i-export-chats).
* **Comment replies** — set up [Instagram](https://chatfuel.com/docs/instagram/instagram-comment-autoreply), [Facebook](https://chatfuel.com/docs/facebook/facebook-autoreply), and [TikTok](https://chatfuel.com/docs/tiktok/tiktok-comment-autoreply) comment automations, including public replies and DMs.
* **Instagram publishing** — create and publish images, carousels, reels, and stories to your connected account.
* **Integrations** — connect popular tools like Slack, Google Sheets, Notion, or HubSpot for you via a secure authorization link.

## Where it helps, but you finish the step [#where-it-helps-but-you-finish-the-step]

* **Connecting channels** — adding a [WhatsApp number](https://chatfuel.com/docs/whatsapp/connect-whatsapp-business-app-number), [Instagram](https://chatfuel.com/docs/instagram/connect-your-instagram-account), [Facebook Page](https://chatfuel.com/docs/facebook/how-to-connect-a-facebook-fanpage), or TikTok account requires authorizing with the platform in your own account. The Co-Worker takes you straight to the right page and guides you through.
* **Billing** — it checks your subscription status and shows upgrade options, but payments are completed in Billing yourself.
* **Chat takeover** — [stepping into a live conversation](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-stop-ai-during-active-conversations) is a manual action by design; the Co-Worker configures the automation around it.

## What it can't do [#what-it-cant-do]

* **Build or edit flows** — the visual [Flow Builder is managed manually](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/why-co-worker-cant-edit-flows); the Co-Worker works through automations instead.
* **Send broadcasts** — broadcast and re-engage campaigns are set up in the **Broadcasts** tab.
* **Answer off-topic questions** — it's focused on your Chatfuel account and your business automation.

If you're not sure whether the Co-Worker can do something — just ask it. It will either do it or tell you exactly where to do it yourself.
