# How to Exclude Specific Contacts from AI

There is currently no way to prevent Fuely AI from responding to specific contacts.

## Short answer [#short-answer]

There is currently no way to prevent Fuely AI from responding to specific contacts. This feature is on our roadmap and we are actively working on it.

## What you can do right now [#what-you-can-do-right-now]

While contact-level exclusions aren't available yet, here are workarounds:

* **Take over the conversation manually.** When a contact you don't want AI to handle writes in, [assign yourself in Live Chat](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-stop-ai-during-active-conversations) to stop AI immediately and reply yourself.
* **Use Switch to human rules.** If the contact always mentions a specific keyword or topic, add a [Switch to human rule](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/how-to-set-up-chat-assignment-rules) on the relevant [automation](https://chatfuel.com/docs/ai-features/automations) to route those chats to a human automatically.

## What's coming [#whats-coming]

We plan to add the ability to exclude individual contacts from AI responses so that Fuely AI skips them entirely. Once available, you'll be able to mark specific contacts and AI will never reply to their messages.

We'll update this article when the feature launches.
